Rohit Sharma & India’s New T20 World Cup Jersey Revealed

Raipur: The new T20 jersey of the Indian cricket team has been released. The jersey was launched by former captain Rohit Sharma. The jersey was released in a ceremony held after the first innings during the second ODI between India and South Africa. Thilak Verma also attended the event along with Rohit.

The Indian team will wear this jersey in next year’s T20 World Cup. The new jersey is a mix of orange, blue and white colors. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia and Adidas representatives handed over the T20 jerseys to the Indian players at the ceremony.

Last day Rohit Sharma was chosen as the brand ambassador of the T20 World Cup. ICC Chairman Jai Shah announced this at an event held in Mumbai. The schedule of the tournament was also announced on the occasion. The tournament will be held from February 7 to March 8 next year. The tournament is jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Rohit was a member of the team when India lifted the first T20 World Cup title in 2007 under MS Dhoni. Rohit was also the captain of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup in 2024. India won the title by defeating South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Rohit is the only Indian player to have won two T20 World Cups. After the 2024 title win, Rohit retired from the T20 format.
