Reims 2026: What to Expect in Reims | Travel Guide

by Archynetys Health Desk

One year after the delivery of the Christian-Cabrol building to the Reims University Hospital, the demolition of the Maison-Blanche hospital will continue throughout 2026. The removal of the southern entrance to the former surgery wing should be completed at the end of the first half of the year, in order to allow the construction of the future Madeleine-Brès building. This will have 317 full hospitalization beds, 36 critical care beds, 145 outpatient places, eight operating theater rooms and two rooms dedicated to neuro-sensory activities. A project worth more than €210 million, which is expected to be completed by 2029.

A final “big piece” will then begin: the deconstruction of the Robert-Debré hospital and the medicine wing of the Maison-Blanche hospital, as well as the development of parking lots and landscaped areas. This final project should be completed in 2031.
