From Ferreyra (Córdoba) – Stellantis Argentina carried out the industrial launch of the Ram Dakota at its plant in this neighborhood of the city of Córdoba (see note). It was an event that consisted of different parts. First, a central event with the participation of the governor of Córdoba Martín Llaryora, the mayor of the capital, Daniel Passerini and the President of Stellantis Argentina, Martín Zuppi.
After lunch, the journalists present went to the painting sector of the plant where we had two press conferences, one with Zuppi and Diego Vicente, industrial director of the plant in Ferreyra. We also have three examples of the Ram Dakota Warlock to see in detail.
But there was more and the most notable notes are reproduced below.
1. New jobs

The production of Ram Dakota required an investment of 385 million dollars, including this amount for the manufacture of the Multijet 2.2 engine starting next year. But during the official ceremony a figure was mentioned that was highlighted by Governor Llaryora and at the press conference Martín Zuppi highlighted it again. The arrival of Dakota in Córdoba represents a total of 1,800 new jobs for the entire project.
The additional fact is that 50% of these positions are occupied by women. “When we select workers, we look for people qualified for the position and, on many occasions, we also train them for the tasks. We are not looking for men or women, we are looking for capable people who want to work and progress.“said Diego Vicente.
2. Taxes, imports and exports

There was also talk about taxes and the one who started it was Martín Zuppi: “We export 16% taxes while Brazil exports 7% and Mexico 0. We have to continue balancing that balance to be more competitive if we want to export more“. Minutes later the mayor of the city of Córdoba raised his glove and said that the new industrial promotion law will soon be released, improving the current one. At the press conference only for journalists, Zuppi returned to the fray and said that the issue of taxes is not only at the national level, but also at the provincial and municipal level and that ADEFA is working to continue reducing taxes.
When asked by a colleague about how the issue of imports and exports was with the exchange rate with floating bands, Zuppi highlighted that with the change of government many things changed, “for example, now we can pay in a timely manner, before we paid abroad in 7 months”, and that he is not bothered by the exchange rate as long as the possibility of exporting and importing without obstacles is maintained.
3. Production figures and versions

Production planning for 2026 is 17,500 Fiat Titano and 17,500 Ram Dakota units. For Argentina, the five versions already presented of Titano will be manufactured, to which three more versions will be added for Brazil. As for Ram Dakota, the Warlock was shown and one more will be added for the commercial launch at the end of November (Laramie?), while three versions will be added for Brazil.
The localization of parts aspires to be around 35% once the engines begin to be produced and they continue working to increase it.
It is estimated that 70% of the production will be destined for export.
4. The story of Ram

As soon as we arrived at the plant, the access to the presentation site had a gallery of some of the Dodge and Ram models that were sold and/or manufactured in our country. Thus we could see everything from a Dodge D100 De Luxe to the last Ram Dakota Sport single cab that was marketed before this new stage.
