Inflation in Egypt fell to 10.3 percent last December

Cairo, January 10 (QNA) – The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Egypt announced that the general consumer price index in the country reached 264.2 points in December 2025, recording an annual inflation of 10.3 percent, compared to 23.4 percent in the same month of the previous year.

The agency explained, in a statement today, that this is due to the decrease in the prices of a group of commodities, including electricity, gas, and other fuel materials, by 1.6 percent.

The statement indicated that the monthly inflation rate for the entire country recorded an increase of 0.1 percent in December 2025.
