The ultra-long-range Airbus A350-1000ULR makes aviation history by flying non-stop for 22 hours. Australia’s national airline, Qantas, has unveiled its revolutionary ultra-long-haul flight, the Airbus, which will make aviation history with a 22-hour non-stop flight. The plane will connect Sydney directly with London and New York from 2027, the Express wrote.
Major parts of the plane, currently under construction in Toulouse, France, including the fuselage, wings and landing gear, have already been assembled. Qantas unveiled the state-of-the-art aircraft in Brisbane, which will soon arrive at a special hangar where it will be fitted with engines and flight systems before a testing phase begins in 2026. Vanessa Hudsonthe CEO of Qantas described the result as a key moment in the airline’s international strategy.
„Given Australia’s place in the world, Qantas has a long history of breaking down barriers in aviation. The Sunrise Project will not only overcome distance, but also fundamentally change travel habits around the world.” he said. “These flights can shorten the journey by up to four hours, minimize jet lag and maximize comfort.”
