Christian Pulisic has addressed concerns regarding his relationship with mauricio Pochettino, stating that their connection is positive. The United States national team player emphasized that the perceived tension is not an accurate reflection of their interactions.

Following two seasons with AC Milan,Pulisic opted to sit out the Concacaf Gold Cup to rest. He offered to participate in friendlies before the tournament,but Pochettino declined,preferring to maintain team cohesion.this decision led to criticism from some former American players.

Pulisic rejoined the national team this month, playing in two friendlies, and contributed an assist in the 2-0 win against Japan.

Pulisic Clarifies Relationship

“There’s probably not as much drama as you guys think there is.”

“We have good conversations,” Pulisic told reporters regarding his relationship with Pochettino. “Honestly. Probably what you guys experience and what the media sees is a bit not exactly what we experience. Things are good. We spoke. We had a normal camp and everything is good between us, good between the team.”

The winger, who will turn 27 on Sept. 18, debuted for the national team in 2016 and has scored 32 goals in 80 appearances. he scored the only U.S. goal in Trinidad when the Americans failed to qualify for the 2018 tournament and scored in the 1-0 victory over Iran at the 2022 World Cup.

“I love this team. It’s everything to me,” he said. “I’ve been here for quite a long time. I’m getting to see some new guys, getting to bond with some old players. Even seeing [Cristian] Roldan again, it’s so cool for me.”

“For me personally, I don’t feel like a step was lost.”

Pulisic had not spoken with reporters since last spring.
