President Prabowo Subianto emphasized Indonesia’s commitment to continuing to build relations and maintain friendship with other countries. Prabowo emphasized that he did not want to interfere in other countries’ affairs.
“The nation of Indonesia under the leadership of my government and all my assistants, we are determined to maintain friendship and good relations with all nations, with all countries, with all powers. We do not want to interfere in the internal affairs of any country. We respect all powers in the world, big and small,” said Prabowo in his briefing at the Nuzulul Quran event, Istana Negara, Jakarta, Tuesday (10/3/2026).
Prabowo said this attitude was in line with the path shown by the founders of the Indonesian nation. This principle is also in line with the teachings of religious leaders who emphasize the importance of maintaining peace.

Prabowo said efforts to maintain peace were not enough just with prayers and hopes, but also required efforts and hard work to create prosperity and justice for society.
“Of course, maintaining peace is not just by praying and hoping, but also by making efforts, by working hard to achieve prosperity and justice. We realize that it is impossible to fall from the sky without the efforts and hard efforts of all of us. We have been given the gift of enormous wealth by the Almighty,” he said.
On that occasion, Prabowo also emphasized the importance of joint efforts to eradicate poverty, hunger and suffering in society. He stressed that no one should be left behind.
“On this occasion, once again I say that we must fight hard to eliminate poverty, hunger and suffering from all our people. We must not allow any of our people to be neglected. We are capable, we have been given sufficient wealth by the Almighty. Now it is the leaders who must work well,” he said.
Apart from that, Prabowo emphasized his commitment to eradicating corrupt practices and fraud in government. He said corruption is an act that is prohibited by all religions and is an obstacle to a country’s progress.
“I thank Prof. Quraish Shihab earlier. Thank you for your support, for everyone’s support. Indeed, we have to eliminate corruption, fraud, all wrong and bad practices that are prohibited by all religions. Those are religious teachings, they are also historical teachings,” he said.
“No country is successful if its government is unable to rid itself of corruption. This is a teaching of religion and history. We must not lose to those who want to take the people’s wealth, take it to other countries, and keep the Indonesian nation and people in a weak state,” he continued.
