The incidents that occurred last weekend on important railway routes in Masovia and the Lublin region have increased the vigilance of the Polish authorities and army. Acts of sabotage carried out by Ukrainian citizens on Russia’s orders pose a threat to critical infrastructure facilities. According to RMF FM, the Polish Army is to launch a nationwide operation in which Territorial Defense Forces from all over the country will be involved.

Military and services on 24/7 readiness
Details of the operation are not yet known. Unofficially, it is known that WOT soldiers are to be on 24-hour readiness and operate in close cooperation with other services, including: the police or the Railway Protection Guard. They are to jointly patrol and supervise places that may become potential enemy targets and are exposed to acts of sabotage. For this purpose, the army is to receive special equipment, including: drones and night vision goggles.
Soldiers are to be ready to carry out more tasks than on a daily basis. According to RMF FM, the staff and the government are to inform about the details of the planned operation today.
New information emerged on Wednesday regarding acts of sabotage on the railway. As Onet sources indicate, the two citizens did not act alone. The police tracked down four of their associates. They are also Ukrainians. Unofficially, it is known that the services already know their identities and addresses.
