This year again, book lovers will be able to come and do their shopping at a lower cost. The now traditional Book Fair is being held this weekend at the Popular Education Association of Plan-de-Cuques. Philippe Cigna is a regular at the event and, under the aegis of the local Lions club, he will offer several more works with, certainly, some nice surprises.
“It is not uncommon to see books that we had sold the previous season being returned to us for free and put back on salehe slips. This year, it will be a little special because the fair will not be held at La Belle Époque, but on the premises of the AEP, an association of which we are partners and to which we will donate all the profits to help finance the repair of its roof.“
A dictation for everyone
This edition is placed under the sign of the detective novel. The Lions Club has, in fact, inherited a huge collection of books by Georges Simenon, all in excellent condition.
Another unique feature of this book fair: the Lions club is organizing a free, fun, participatory and humorous dictation. It is the work of Christian Frugoli, associate professor of philosophy. “Come as you arelaunches Philippe Cigna like a slogan. We provide you with pens and paper.“
Book fair, Saturday March 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday March 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Popular Education Association (AEP), 6 avenue Jules-Rollandin. Dictation Sunday March 22 at 11 a.m. at the same location.
