Piazza Affari Rises: Fineco, Mediobanca Up, Nexi Down

Positive day for Piazza Affari, which closed with a fractional increase of 0.41% at 43,438 points.

In Europe, Frankfurt gained 0.42%, London 0.64%, while Paris remained virtually unchanged. In Milan, the positive tone was accompanied by trades for 3.3 billion euros, an increase compared to the 3.25 billion on the day before.

Among the best stocks on the FTSE Mib, FinecoBank shines, advancing by 4.65% to 21.15 euros after the release of the results of the first nine months. Management has improved its 2025 revenue guidance, estimating a cost/income ratio of less than 30% and a growing financial margin thanks to the increase in collections. Moncler (+3.42%), Mediobanca (+2.39%) and Stellantis (+1.94%) also performed well, supported by the recovery of the European auto sector.

However, a heavy session for Nexi, which collapsed by 7.91% to 4.11 euros after the publication of the quarterly results. Despite the confirmation of the 2025 targets, the market reacted with massive sales, penalizing the stock. Lottomatica (-4.79%), DiaSorin (-2.75%) and Saipem (-1.73%) also performed badly.

Among mid-cap stocks, brilliant performance for Safilo (+8.46%), following positive indications for the third quarter, and for Ariston Holding (+6.37%), which revised its guidance for the entire year upwards. On the other hand, Avio (-3.19%) fell, following the negative trend of the capital increase rights, and Fincantieri (-2.58%).

On the macro front, the BTP-Bund spread rises to 82 basis points, with the yield on the Italian ten-year bond at 3.41%, while the euro/dollar exchange rate remains stable at 1.15. Oil fell slightly, falling to 59.89 dollars per barrel (-1.10%), while gold remained in the area of ​​3,988 dollars per ounce.
