A toddler was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive, according to police.
PHOENIX — A child was shot in the face in Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

Officers were called to the area of 32nd Street and Broadway Road around 12:19 p.m. Tuesday for reports of unknown trouble, the Phoenix Police Department said.
When officers arrived on the scene, they located a toddler with gunshot wounds.
The toddler was taken to the hospital, and the injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Video from a nearby security camera shared with 12News appears to show a woman with a gun firing several shots off camera.
The woman then gets into a car and drives off.
Officers did not find a gun at the scene of the shooting.
Officers are still investigating the shooting.
Police are searching for suspects, but they did not disclose how many people they are looking for.
They are encouraging anyone with a video of the shooting to share it with the department.
