The search continues for 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop, who disappeared on May 15. Authorities are investigating her last known movements, including a phone call with her boyfriend and newly released CCTV footage.
BISHOP’s last sighting was when she departed her residence in Gin gin,Queensland,with plans to catch a flight to meet her boyfriend. The Courier Mail reports that the vehicle of interest is a Hyundai ix35 owned by Bromley. Police revealed they found an item of interest within a national park.
Search Efforts and Public Appeal
“Pheobe would never not touch base with the people she loves. She would never go this long without contacting someone or anyone.”
Authorities seized a grey Hyundai ix35 and are requesting dashcam or CCTV footage from the public to aid in locating the teenager. Search dogs were deployed to Good Night Scrub National Park, near Gin Gin, about an hour from where BISHOP was last seen.
Family Statement
Despite rumors of family conflict, BISHOP’s mother issued a statement describing her daughter as the investigation continues. She described her daughter as strong-willed and independent.
Her mother added that she always expected her daughter to call her from overseas.She described her daughter as someone with untameable spirit, empathy and fight for life. She is sassy, feisty and loves harder than anyone I’ve ever meet.
Her mum noted that this disappearance was out of character and said: “Pheobe would never not touch base with the people she loves.She would never go this long without contacting someone or anyone. We are appealing to anyone who may have heard from Pheobe, or anyone who has information about where she may be, to please contact police.”
