“There are no plans yet,” the Kremlin spokesman told reporters, but he stressed that the communications between the Kremlin and Washington are continuing, noting that there are communication channels between Russian and American intelligence services.
On Ukraine, Peskov said, in an interview with RIA Novosti at the Eastern Economic Forum, that foreign military units cannot provide security guarantees to Ukraine, noting that “security guarantees must be provided to Ukraine and Russia.”
“The security guarantees of Ukraine can be the subject of negotiations,” Peskov said.
The Kremlin spokesman added that the provisions of the agreements in Istanbul in 2022 included all security guarantees.
On a Russian -Ukrainian summit, Peskov said that there is a need to accomplish a huge amount of work before holding a high -level meeting or a summit between Russia and Ukraine.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin called Ukrainian President Voludimir Zellinski to Moscow to speak and not to surrender,” Peskov told TASS.
He considered that “the talks between Putin and Trump are not easy, as each of them defends the interests of his country.”
