Pedophilia Case: 15-Year Sentence in BCS – La Jornada

Mexico City. The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) obtained a conviction against a person identified as Jesús “N”, who carried out acts of pedophilia in the state of Baja California Sur, which constitutes a crime provided for in the General Law to Prevent, Punish and Eradicate Crimes in the Matter of Human Trafficking and for the Protection and Assistance to the Victims of these Crimes.

In a statement, the agency explained that, according to the investigation folder initiated in December 2022, its local delegation received an Approved Police Report from the State Cyber Police of the Secretariat of Public Security of the State of Baja California Sur.

In said file, the institution was informed of a complaint of “possible acts of pedophilia committed by a person to whom conversations and exchanges of images of minors in sexual acts were attributed.”

Once the arrest warrant was completed by elements of the Federal Ministerial Police of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC), against Jesús “N”, “the Federal Public Ministry of the Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor’s Office in Baja California Sur, complied with the processes and provided compelling evidence to obtain a conviction of 15 years in prison.”

The above, “for the crime of human trafficking in the form of storing, exchanging or sharing, by any means, images of sexual content and body exhibitionism for sexual purposes, real or simulated, of people under 18 years of age.”

In addition to the above, it was ordered that the images related to these events “be removed from the cloud and deleted from the linked accounts.”
