Patricia Ann Plumley: A Life of Love, Creativity, and Community

Patricia “Patty” Ann Plumley, 81, a long-time resident of Lewisburg, passed away on May 23, 2025. Born on september 25, 1943, in Greenbrier County, she was the daughter of the late Harry S. Gregory and Edith Sydenstricker Gregory. Patty remained a dedicated resident of Greenbrier County throughout her life.
A graduate of Lewisburg High School and Greenbrier Girls College, Patty began her professional journey with the Department of Transportation in Lewisburg before becoming an administrative assistant at The Greenbrier Hotel. in 1982, after marrying her high school sweetheart, Chuck Plumley, she retired to dedicate her time to her family and personal interests.
Patty was known for her craftsmanship, creating quilts, cross-stitch pieces, and various handmade projects. she enjoyed gardening and was an active member of the Blue Bell Garden Club, sharing her passion for flowers and plants.
Community Involvement and Travel
Committed to her community, Patty volunteered at the Shepherd’s Center and was a member of old Stone Presbyterian Church.She also enjoyed traveling, exploring countries such as England, Germany, Scotland, Iceland, and France.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck Plumley of Lewisburg; her son, Andy (Sarah) Easton of Lewisburg; and two stepdaughters, Andrea and Karen (John), both of Virginia Beach, VA. Patty was a grandmother to Samantha, Daniel, Mia, and Parker easton, all of Lewisburg, and step-grandmother to Joseph of Brooklyn, NY, and courtney Graver (Brian Schwartz) of Virginia Beach. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Stella (joe) Gregory Ferrino of Detroit, MI.
Patty cherished spending time with her family and friends. Her life was filled with kindness, creativity, and heartfelt connections.
