While pancreatic cancer is often diagnosed late, research indicates that a meaningful portion of cases—approximately 20-25%—arise from precancerous injuries. Careful monitoring of these lesions offers a crucial opportunity for effective prevention and earlier intervention. This proactive approach can dramatically alter the course of the disease,leading to more accomplished treatment outcomes. Identifying individuals at higher risk, such as those with a family history of pancreatic cancer, is also vital for targeted screening and prevention efforts.

Call to Action: investing in Specialized Care and Research

Experts emphasize the urgent need for increased investment in specialized,multidisciplinary centers capable of providing comprehensive care for pancreatic cancer patients. These centers shoudl prioritize not only advanced treatments but also the patient’s quality of life throughout the therapeutic process. Addressing this challenge requires a systemic effort involving healthcare providers, researchers, and policymakers to improve early detection, treatment strategies, and ultimately, patient outcomes.

Must invest in the centralization of care paths, equips adequate resources centers and put the quality of life at the center of therapeutic choices. Only highly specialized and multidisciplinary structures can offer these patients adequate and effective paths. it is a system challenge,which concerns all health.
