Jakarta –
The Palace responded to the results of the LSI Denny JA survey which showed that the majority of respondents rejected the regional election system through the DPRD. Minister of State Secretary and Palace Spokesperson, Prasetyo Hadi, emphasized that the government respects all opinions.
“Yes, we respect all opinions. Of course all views are pro, some are con, some are supportive. But not yet,” said Pras at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (8/1/2026).
Pras said there was no polemic regarding the continued rejection of the discourse on the indirect regional election system. He left the decision regarding the regional election system to a rolling process.
