The Public Prosecutor’s Office asked for the immunity of PSD deputies Luís Newton, Carlos Eduardo Reis and Margarida Saavedra to be lifted, according to CNN Portugal. SIC knows that the requests have already been received in Parliament.
At issue is the Tutti-Frutti operation, which investigates the alleged favoritism between PS and PSD leaders and activists in the 2017 local elections.

According to CNN, if the request to waive immunity is accepted by the Transparency and Statute of Deputies Commission, the three Social Democrats defendants will be named in the process.
At issue will be an alleged conspiracy by PSD and PS leaders to negotiate political places in the parishes and municipalities of Lisbon.
From what SIC found, another of those targeted in the process is the former PSD deputy Sérgio Azevedosuspected of receiving funds.
