A group of around 70 Law students from the University of Minho received hospital treatment, allegedly for food poisoning, following a course dinner that took place on Friday in a restaurant in Braga.
The mother of one of the students, from Amares, revealed to O MINHO that the students had to be taken to the hospital the next morning because they were constantly vomiting, with diarrhea, fainting and chills. “The doctors confirmed that it was poisoning,” she said,
MINHO contacted the restaurant, located in Forum Braga, and the owner stated that the starters and two dishes (duck rice and cod with cream) were prepared for 115 students, starting at 6 pm, and were therefore “fresh”.
