According to information from the city, an American aerial bomb was discovered behind the fortress at Avenariusstrasse 35 in the Großreuth district of Nuremberg. +++ According to the city’s announcement, the American bomb weighs around 450 kilograms. Since it was moved during construction work, it should be defused that night.
+++ Almost 21,000 citizens are affected by the evacuation measures. This is the largest evacuation operation to date that was necessary in Nuremberg after the discovery of a World War II bomb.
