Two weeks removed from multiple road losses, Northwestern men’s swimming and diving returned home with a win over Duke, while the women fell to continue their skid.

The Wildcats’ (3-2, 0-0 Big Ten) men claimed their first win in nearly a month over the Blue Devils by a score of 216-118, while the women (2-4, 0-0 Big Ten) lost 192-142.

On the men’s side, NU won 18 events, including three of four relays. Junior David Gerchik finished first in both the 100- and 200-yard backstroke, logging a season-best 1:44.27 in the 200-yard. He was also part of the first-place 200-meter freestyle and 200-meter medley relays.

In the diving competitions, NU placed first in both the one- and three-meter events. Junior Adam Cohen topped the one-meter leaderboard, while sophomore Kyle Ly and junior Ryan Augustine also finished in the top four. Ly won the three-meter competition.
