Logs carried by flood currents in North Sumatra (North Sumatra) are being widely highlighted. The Governor of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) Bobby Nasution responded.
Reported by detikSumut, a viral video on social media shows piles of wooden logs being carried away during flash floods in a number of areas of North Sumatra. Bobby will check on that.
“Yes, we’ll see later (about the number of logs),” said Bobby Nasution at Soewondo Air Base in Medan, Thursday (27/11/2025).

According to Bobby, currently their focus is evacuating affected residents. Including speeding up logistics delivery.
“What is certain is that currently we are focusing on evacuating residents and also speeding up logistics for residents’ needs, both food needs and daily needs such as babies needing diapers,” he said.
In a number of videos spread on social media, flash floods carried loads of logs in South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli and Sibolga districts. Various comments from netizens suspected that this was an illegal logging practice which contributed to worsening floods and landslides.
