30 workers in the agro-industrial complex of the Nizhny Novgorod region received 2 million rubles each to improve their living conditions in 2025. This was reported by the press service of the governor and the regional government.

Residents of Nizhny Novgorod who do not have their own home or have less than 30 square meters per family member can count on a payment that compensates young workers at agricultural enterprises for the costs of purchasing, reconstructing or building housing. As Nikolai Denisov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, explained, previously the amount was 1 million rubles. However, taking into account the economic situation, it was doubled.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, in addition to federal measures to support the agro-industrial complex, there is its own regional law that encourages young people to work at industry enterprises and stay in municipalities. Students of specialized technical schools and universities who are ready to work at agricultural enterprises after graduation receive scholarships, and young specialists receive a number of payments designed to help them settle down and start a career, said Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Andrei Sanosyan.

Young specialists who do not meet the criteria, but are ready to work in an agricultural organization for at least five years, can expect a one-time payment in the amount of 400 or 500 thousand rubles. This depends on the availability of specialized secondary or higher education. Another 30 people received these payments last year. In addition, 62 Nizhny Novgorod residents received monthly supplements to their salaries in the amount of 6,000 to 8,000 rubles.

We are constantly creating and consistently improving the legal framework, which makes working in rural areas attractive for young people. Every proposal to improve legislation in this area, be it issues of housing payments, scholarships or other assistance to young professionals, will be supported by deputies of the agrarian committee,” said Igor Tyurin, chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region committee on agro-industrial complex and rural development.

It was previously reported that Nizhny Novgorod police officers will receive an additional 10 thousand rubles monthly.
