The actor and Keith Urban were married for 19 years.
Nicole Kidman has finally broken her silence on her divorce from country singer Keith Urban. In an interview with Variety magazine, the 58-year-old actress opens up about how she feels after her marriage ended.
Kidman and Urban were married for 19 years before announcing their surprise separation last September. The divorce was finalized in January.
– What I am grateful for is my family, and keeping them as they are, and moving on. It is, says Kidman to Variety.
She adds that she sticks to the idea that “we are a family” and that they will continue to be. The couple have two daughters together: 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 15-year-old Faith Margaret.
– I don’t discuss everything else out of respect. I firmly believe that “we are a family” and that is what we will continue to be. My beautiful girls, my loved ones, who have suddenly become women, she says.
When asked if she is feeling well after the separation, the red-haired star replies:
– I have it, because I will always move towards what is good.
Kidman says that last year she was “quiet” and had “other things going on”. She was “in her shell”, but now she is ready for 2026.
After the divorce, she traveled with her family to Antarctica, and is planning trips to the Galápagos and Machu Picchu.
She also has several projects underway, including the TV series “Scarpetta“, which premieres in March.
