Newark youth ages 23 and younger will determine how to spend $50,000 of city funds under the city’s Gen Green program, a youth-led participatory budgeting process for sustainability that began in September. The program consists of outreach, proposal development, voting, and project implementation. A sustainability project will be on the ballot for voting in February or March.
