by Archynetys News Desk

A delicatessen grocery store has just opened in the old pharmacy in the village of Saint-Pierre d’Aurillac (Gironde), on the RN 1113. It is the project of a couple, Camille and Sullivan, originally from Pas-de-Calais and based in South-Gironde for 10 years. They sold fruits and vegetables on the roadside for 5 years in Langoiran, opposite the Contraire bakery and at the same time, for a single year, in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont. They present their new project.

Reviving a business closed for 6 years

“We moved to Saint-Pierre d’Aurillac 2 years ago and we wanted to revive this business (which had been closed since 2020, editor’s note),” specify these parents of 3 children. Camille and Sullivan offer in their store: fruits and vegetables (from producers in 47 and for the export part, from Min d’Agen, market reserved for professionals), delicatessen products (oils, terrines, pasta, rice, coffee, caviar, etc.) including some of Italian origin, strong alcohols, drinks, wines and fruit juices (including a range of organic ones).

There is also cheese (maroilles obviously, but also many others), cold meats (sausages, cut ham, etc.), yogurts and butter. “It is possible to order, as a gift or to treat yourself: platters of raw vegetables, cheeses, fruit baskets…” At the moment, you will of course find the traditional galette des rois!

“We will adapt according to demand”

Also on the stalls: “local products such as honey from Langoiran, bread and pastries from the baker in Pian-sur-Garonne. Because on weekends, we sell pastries and oysters », explains Sullivan. At lunchtime, the couple can prepare “quality sandwiches for less than €5, with cheese and cold meats from the store”. Quiches are also on sale.

“If you need something in particular, ask us and we will try to find it for you,” says the merchant, speaking to a customer. “We offer a range of products but we will adapt according to demand,” he emphasizes.

The couple is also launching a home or workplace delivery service, “within a radius of around twenty kilometers around Saint-Pierre d’Aurillac, at a symbolic €1, for a minimum amount of €10 of purchases; and free for the elderly people of the village. A website (lists most of their products.
