Apple could probably present the iPhone 17e on February 19, 2026. According to “Macwelt”, the new model will support MagSafe for the first time, while on the camera side it will probably remain with a single sensor. A large stage event does not seem to be planned for this.

As “Macwelt” reports, Apple could only announce the iPhone 17e via press release, similar to the iPhone 16e. A possible date is February 19th, exactly one year after the introduction of the previous model. Thanks to MagSafe, the device should achieve a charging power of up to 25 watts. This would be Apple’s response to earlier criticism, as the iPhone 16e only offered the slower Qi standard.

Apple sticks to the tried and tested design

According to current information, little will change in the design. A single camera and the familiar notch are expected. The Dynamic Island, which is reserved for the higher-class iPhone models, could initially still be missing from the entry-level model. There is also no concrete information yet about possible additional functions, such as an ultra-wideband chip or expanded tethering options.

If these plans come true, Apple would continue its semi-annual release rhythm with the iPhone 17e.

When closed, the device should have a 5.5-inch external display, which is wider and squarer than conventional smartphones. Inside there is said to be a 7.6-inch display without a visible fold line, which could come from Samsung. Four cameras are also planned: two on the back, one in the front and one inside.
