Netanyahu Vows to Crush Iran Regime | Israel News

Netanyahu‘s positions came after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that his country has “the will to end the war,” but wants “guarantees that the aggression will not be repeated.”

Netanyahu said in a televised statement: “The campaign is not over (…) We will continue to crush the terrorist regime. We will strengthen the security areas around us and we will achieve our goals,” referring to the lands where the Israeli army is deployed outside its borders, in the Gaza Strip, Syria and Lebanon.

He added: “We made Israel a regional power and, in certain aspects, a global power. We changed the face of the Middle East.”

Bezeshkian’s office quoted him as saying during a phone call with European Council President Antonio Costa: “We have the necessary will to end the war” with Israel and the United States, but “provided that the basic conditions are met, especially the necessary guarantees to prevent the recurrence of the aggression.”

The President of Iran thus renewed one of the most prominent demands put forward by his country to put an end to the war, in addition to ending “aggression,” paying financial compensation, clearly defining responsibilities, and stopping hostilities on all fronts.

Since the beginning of the war, markets have been watching with concern the rise in fuel prices, which increases the risk of inflation, as the price of gasoline reached $4 per gallon in the United States.
