The Spanish former tennis player Rafa Nadal has shown that competitiveness has no expiration date or limit area. After retiring from the professional circuit, the Mallorcan has poured his energy and winning spirit into the E1 Miami GP, an innovative aquatic electric boat competition founded and chaired by Alejandro Agag.
Nadal’s foray into this sport has been an immediate success. His team, simply called “Team Rafa“, and led by the duo of Cris Lazarraga and Tom Chiappe, has shone brightly during the last stage of the tourpositioning itself at the top of the table.

Faithful to his commitment, Rafa Nadal moved to Miami to witness the E1 Grand Prix up close. This stop tourwhich has previously passed through destinations such as Monaco, Lagos or Dubrovnik, garnered media attention not only for the race, but for a high-profile reunion.
Dressed in sportswear and visibly relaxed, the winner of 22 Grand Slams met two of his closest friends in international showbiz: actor Will Smith and singer Marc Anthony. Although Nadal did not share images of his private meeting with Smith, a video shows the closeness and relaxed tone of their conversation.
Friends and rivals
The relaxed tone of the meeting hides a sporting rivalry that has moved to the water. It turns out that Nadal and Will Smith are direct competitors in the E1 Grand Prix.
The American actor participates with his own team, Westbrook Racing, a name that coincides with that of his production company. Experts say that Smith has been able to sign some of the best athletes in the aquatic market, recording excellent results.
Furthermore, this interest in the competition extends to Marc Anthony, who is also part of the league. The Puerto Rican singer had previously met with Nadal in Monaco in June, where both were received by Prince Albert. That meeting in the Principality included other sports figures such as Tom Brady, LeBron James and Didier Drogba.
