MyRepublic & WIFI Win 100 Mbps Internet Auction | Cheap Broadband

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Ministry of Communications and Digital (Komdigi) announced the winner of the 1.4 GHz frequency auction. There were two winners in this auction, namely PT Telemediakomunikasi Pratama which is a subsidiary of Surge (WIFI) and Eka Mas Republik, owner of MyRepublic.

In the announcement of the selection results published on Wednesday (15/10/2025), PT Telemedia included the highest bid price of IDR 403,764,000,000 for region I. This region consists of six zones, here is the list:

Zone 4: Banten, Jakarta, Bogor City, Bogor Regency, Depok, Bekasi City, Bekasi Regency

Zone 5: West Java (except Bogor City, Bogor Regency, Depok, Bekasi City and Bekasi Regency)

Zone 6: Central Java and Yogyakarta

Zone 7: East Java

Zone 9: Papua, West Papua, South Papua, Central Papua, Mountain Papua and Southwest Papua

Zone 10: Maluku and North Maluku

Meanwhile MyRepublic received the remaining two regions with a total of 9 zones. The company’s highest bid price for each is Regional II at IDR 300,888,000,000 and Regional III at IDR 100,888,000,000.

The following is a list of zones in each region:

Regional 2

Zone 1: Aceh and North Sumatra

Zone 2: West Sumatra, Riau and Jambi

Zone 3: Bangka Belitung Islands, South Sumatra, Bengkulu and Lampung

Zone 8: Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara

Zone 15: Riau Islands

Regional 3

Zone 11: West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi

Zone 12: North Sulawesi, Gorontalo and Central Sulawesi

Zone 13: Central Kalimantan and West Kalimantan

Zone 14: South Kalimantan, North Kalimantan and East Kalimantan

1.4 Ghz Auction Process

The auction for the 1.4 GHz frequency has been open since July 2025. Bidders are competing for selection objects in the range 1432 MHz to 1512 MHz, with a total bandwidth of 80 MHz.

Frequencies are used to provide broadband wireless access services. It is hoped that the service can provide fast internet up to 100 Mbps at affordable prices.

In the process, seven companies became potential selection participants. The seven companies are:

• PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk;

• PT Indosat Tbk;

• PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk;

• PT Telemedia Communications Pratama;

• PT Netciti Persada;

• PT Telekomunikasi Selular; And

• PT Eka Mas Republik.

Then, from the evaluation results including completeness checks and document verification, it was determined that three companies had passed the auction stage, until finally WIFI and MyRepublic emerged as auction winners.
