lady Gaga dominated the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, held tonight, securing the most nominations with 12 nods. She shared four nominations with Bruno mars for their collaboration, “Die With a Smile.” Gaga also took to the stage as one of the evening’s performers. The night saw Gaga win the Artist of the Year award, while Tate McRae’s “Sports Car” was crowned the Song of the Summer.

Hosted by LL Cool J, the 2025 VMAs featured several milestones. Rosé made history as the first Korean artist nominated for Video of the Year.Mariah carey received the Video Vanguard Award, marking her first VMA recognition. Additionally, this year’s show was the first to be broadcast live on CBS.
