This strong Moroccan demand is part of a positive overall dynamic for the Tunisian sector. According to data from the National Agricultural Observatory, total shipments reached 94,100 tonnes, generating revenues of 607.8 million dinars. Out of an overall production estimated at more than 400,000 tonnes for this season, Tunisia plans to export between 120,000 and 140,000 tonnes.

The Tunisian supply remains highly concentrated around the Deglet Ennour variety, which constitutes 85.2% of shipments with high added value and an average price of 7.15 dinars per kilo. If the European Union remains the leading regional destination bloc with 44.2% of purchases, the African continent follows with 23.3%, directly driven by Moroccan imports.
