Mohamed Salah: New Historic Record Achieved

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah achieved a new historical achievement, after he crowned the award for the best player in England by the Association of Professional Players (PFA) for the 2024-2025 season, during the ceremony held at the Opera House in Manchester on Tuesday evening.

Salah became the first player in the history of football to win the award three times, after he previously won it in the 2017-2018 and 2021-2022 seasons, and this honored honor came to the culmination of an exceptional season in which he presented 29 goals and 18 assists, led by Liverpool to crown the Premier League title.
Salah surpassed prominent competitors, among them Manchester United star Bruneo Fernandez, Newcastle striker Alexander Easac, alongside Diklan Rice (Arsenal), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), and Alexis Mac Alester, his colleague in Liverpool.
The ceremony also witnessed the coronation of Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) with the award for the best young player, while Spanish Marioona Caldante won the Best Women’s League award, and James Trafford won the award for the best player in the Championship after his remarkable brilliance with Burnley before moving to Manchester City.
It is noteworthy that the Professional Players Association awards are awarded based on the players ’vote themselves, as a brief list is first prepared before the final vote, while preventing the players from voting for their teammates.
