A moderate degree of disability in 2025 gives the right to many privileges – from shortened working time, through additional holidays, to benefits, funding and support from PFRON. People with a decision can also benefit from rehabilitation stays or tax breaks. What is a moderate degree of disability?

Moderate degree (formerly the 2nd invalid group) means that The body’s fitness has been violated. A person may be incapable of work or capable only in sheltered work or need help in everyday life – e.g. at home or performing social tasks.

Moderate degree of disability – privileges 2025 at work

  • work max. 7 h per day and 35 HW week,
  • No night work and overtime,
  • extra 15-minute break included in the working time,
  • 10 days of additional leave annually,
  • exemptions on rehabilitation stays (up to 21 days).

Moderate degree of disability – funding and equipment

People with a decision are also entitled to a number of forms of material assistance, i.e. PFRON subsidies to:

  • orthopedic and rehabilitation equipment,
  • to adapt the workplace,
  • rehabilitation stays,
  • equipment and care measures ..

Co -financing of rehabilitation stays from PFRON 2025

A person with a moderate degree of disability can obtain funding for a rehabilitation stay from PFRON (financing institution – both for himself and for the guardian, if the doctor indicates such a need in referral. MOPS/PCPR is an institution that accepts and considers applications (organizes recruitment, pays funds, contacts the applicant)

The amount of funding in 2025 is:

  • From February 1 to 28 – PLN 1,763 for people with a moderate degree
  • From March 1 – PLN 1,832 for people with a moderate degree
  • For the guardian: respectively PLN 1,306 (January -February) i PLN 1 357 (March -December).

In exceptional cases (e.g. difficult financial situation), the co -financing can be up to 40% of the average salary, which means amounts of a row PLN 3,000 or more.

Obtaining procedure:

  • Complete the documents: disability certificate, medical referral, PFRON application and income statement – and submit it to the Poviat MOPS or PCPR.
  • The center considers the application up to 30 days, and then sends a letter within 7 days.
  • You have 30 days (max 21 days before the start) on Selecting a centerwhich will correspond to the certificate and medical recommendations.
  • Together with your guardian, you can use the stay – I will pay the funding directly to the organizer.

Social and tax allowance, social and tax allowance

People with a moderate degree of disability can also count on additional financial and tax support. It includes:

  • Care allowance – ok. PLN 215.84 per month for people who were disabled before 21 years of age.
  • Permanent allowance – do PLN 1,229 monthly, if the income does not exceed: PLN 1,010 – a lonely person, PLN 823 – per person in the family
  • Periodic allowance – in case of financial difficulties (e.g. disease, unemployment).
  • Targeted benefits – for medicines, food, fuel and care services.
  • Write -offs in PIT – e.g. rehabilitation relief.

Parking card, transport and stays

In addition, persons with a decision are entitled to:

  • Free or discount PKP/PKS and public transport,
  • holidays and exemptions to participate in rehabilitation stays.
  • The parking card is available for musculoskeletal disorders, vision, neurological, respiratory or circulatory diseases.

“Personal assistant of a person with disabilities” (edition 2025)

For people with a moderate degree, the support of a personal assistant is entitled to – as part of a program financed from the solidarity fund. Recruitment for JST in 2025; Municipalities and poviats submit applications and then implement the service.

Co -financing for remuneration with PFRON 2025

If a person with a moderate degree of disability is employed, the employer may receive funding for his remuneration with PFRON:

  • PLN 1,550 per month – This is the basic funding rate in 2025.
  • PLN 2,585 per month – in the case of people with additional health difficulties, e.g. with epilepsy, intellectual disability, comprehensive developmental disorders (e.g. autism spectrum), mental or blind disorders.

This consists of PLN 1,550 (basics) + PLN 1,035 so -called increase.

This funding is aimed at supporting the employment of people who may encounter special barriers at work. Employers are paid, but often indirectly makes it easier for people with a moderate degree of decision.

How to submit an application for a decision?

1. Submission of the application – the application is submitted to the poviat/city The adjudicating team competent for the place of residence. Required documents:

  • Medical documentation (treatment, diagnostics),
  • specialist certificate (valid 30 days),
  • Possibly the psychologist’s opinion.
  • Photocopies are possible, but you always have to show the originals.

2. Waiting for the commission date – Usually up to a month you receive an invitation to a committee meeting.
3. Participation in the meeting – Obligatory – if someone does not come and just justify, the matter is suspended.
4. Decision – the Commission runs within 14 days. The decision may be for a definite or permanent period. After receiving, you can apply for ID and privileges.

Moderate degree of disability – List of diseases

A moderate degree of disability can be granted in the case of the following diseases:

  • Neurological diseases: such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, or post -traumatic brain damage.
  • Musculoskeletal system diseases: covering various diseases of the joints and muscles.
  • Respiratory diseases: for example, chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD).
  • Heart and blood vessels diseases: including heart failure.
  • Mental illness: such as depression or anxiety disorders.
  • Metabolic diseases: for example, diabetes.
  • Gastrointestinal diseases: including inflammatory diseases.
  • Grease diseases: such as chronic inflammation.
