A rooster was found in a hotel room in Rotterdam yesterday. The guest had already checked out and because the animal ambulance does not transport poultry, the police were called.
The police took the animal to the Zwerfkip & Zo shelter in Boskoop. It is a young white rooster of four to five months old that is very tame, reports an employee of the shelter in Rijnmond. She says she has never experienced anything like this before.

Authorities in Tacoma, Washington, are currently conducting a search for an individual who allegedly stabbed a woman at Point Defiance Park.
The incident took place in the 5500 block of 5-Mile Drive around 1 p.m. on Saturday. The victim, who was walking on a designated trail within the park, was attacked.
Shelbie Boyd, a spokesperson for the Tacoma Police department, stated that a bystander near the victim made a timely call around 1 o’clock, leading to the victim’s discovery and subsequent transportation to a local hospital by Tacoma Fire personnel.
The suspect fled the scene through the park’s trails and remains at large. Law enforcement has not yet provided a detailed description of the individual.
Boyd mentioned the challenges faced in tracking the suspect due to the park’s size and the high volume of visitors. She emphasized the importance of community cooperation in providing any relevant information to aid in the investigation.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.
