At this point, the price remains a mystery. Likewise, it is unclear whether the November 20 date will apply to the entire world or only to certain markets. Still, many of the MS-02 Ultra‘s specs are already known, including the use of an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processor to rival AMD’s Strix Halo processors, such as the GMKtec EVO-X2 (currently $1,699 at Amazon) with a 13% performance advantage over the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor according to our benchmarks.
While the Core Ultra 9 285HX packs a relatively weak iGPU, the MS-02 Ultra makes up for it with PCIe slots for adding a graphics card and USB4 V2 ports for connecting eGPUs. Additionally, the MS-02 Ultra can house up to 32TB of storage via four M.2 2280 SSDs, along with 256GB of RAM and a 350W Flex PSU in a 4.8-liter case measuring 221.5 x 225 x 97mm.
