The film will premiere worldwide on January 30. It was the first time the president, their family and close friends had seen the full documentary, said Marc Beckman, an adviser and agent to the first lady. The trailer opens on Inauguration Day 2025 and shows Melania Trump wearing a dark blue hat on her way to the ceremony at the Capitol. Her role as an advisor is also discussed, including when she encourages the president to emphasize “bringer of peace and connector” in his speech.
The East Room screening came at a busy political time, following recent trade tensions with Canada, the defense of federal agents after a deadly shooting in Minnesota and preparations for an approaching winter storm in the southern US. About 70 guests attended, including former boxer Mike Tyson, Jordan’s Queen Rania, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, Amazon MGM CEO Mike Hopkins, film director Brett Ratner and General Electric CEO Larry Culp.

Beckman, who produced the film, also spearheaded the $40 million deal with Amazon MGM Studios and is working on a follow-up documentary to be released later this year that will focus on some of the first lady’s priorities, including foster care. He emphasized that the film is “not political at all” and that Melania Trump herself determined the creative direction. The documentary highlights her fashion choices, diplomatic activities, security operations and moments that Beckman says also show the president’s humor.
Next week, the president and the first lady will attend the official premiere at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, which has been renamed the Trump-Kennedy Center by the Trump-appointed administration. On Wednesday, Melania Trump will ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange to promote the film.
