He also announced his intention to open a degree course in the pharmacy, also in Como, which will strengthen the presence of the university in the Lariano capital and respond to the needs in terms of specialized health training. “My attention is particularly focused on the improvement of the medical area, both as regards training and research is, of course, for the so -called enhancement of knowledge to the community – the words of Pierro – In these first eight months of mandate I have understood the importance of enhancing the Como pole and the intention is to encourage a closer relationship with local entities.

There is a strong interest in this area and I strongly want to promote its progressive strengthening through a structured growth plan. Another theme on which the rector has placed particular emphasis was that of social housing, intended as a strategic tool to make the university path attractive, offering housing solutions accessible to students and future health professionals. The goal is to create the conditions to retain the skills formed in the area, concretely responding to one of the most felt challenges: that of accessibility and quality of life for young people in training.

As mentioned by Mariani, the table represents a place of comparison that, since 2017, has been able to involve all the institutional, public and private actors, on both technical and wider the issues. He also underlined the importance of the presence of healthcare structures within the ecosystem of Confindustria Como not only as providers of services, but also as bearers of a true industrial culture, highlighting the central role that the sector also plays in terms of employment and development for the territory.
