Dr. Karina Loto, director of the Health Center, explained the shift allocation system for specialty. From the Ministry, in charge of Dr. Luis Medina Ruiz, versions are denied that try to misinform the population and the commitment to efficient, inclusive and modern care is reaffirmed.
Within the framework of its modernization and decentralization policy of the health system, the Ministry of Public Health of Tucumán, under the conduction of the doctor Luis Medina Ruizcontinues to strengthen the mechanisms of access to medical care to ensure that each citizen receives timely assistance, without the need for long waiting or agglomerations.
From the health center, its director, the doctor Karina Emotoexplained how shifts are organized for different specialties. “We have several modalities. We are currently delivering scheduled shifts: on Mondays for specialties such as pneumonology, colloproctology, rheumatology and dermatology; and on Wednesdays for traumatology, neurology and other areas. In addition, to facilitate access, shifts can be requested in person or through the health line listening, especially thought for those who have difficulties of mobility or physical access to the hospital,” he said.
The doctor stressed that the main objective is to avoid rows and agglomerations, providing organized attention. “The most demanded specialties, such as Medical Clinic or Dentistry, in addition to laboratory extractions and studies, are attended by spontaneous demand on the same day. But for the rest, the programmed system allows the patient to arrive at the indicated time, without the need to wait for more,” he said.
Another strategies implemented by provincial management consists of the articulation with interior hospitals, such as those of Garmendia or Concepción. This allows patients from the provincial interior to reach the health center already with an assigned shift, avoiding unnecessary transfers and guaranteeing the continuity of care.
Dr. Loto also warned about scam attempts in relation to the assignment of shifts: “We want to alert the population that shifts are not sold, they are not outsourced and personal. They should always be processed through official channels and with the presentation of the patient’s ID.”
In relation to the circulation of images and publications that show alleged nightfalls to get shifts, the Ministry of Public Health issued an official statement categorically denialing this information, qualifying it as “a distortion of the current health reality.”
“The health system modernization plan includes multiple routes to request shifts: online, telephone and face -to -face, within the administrative schedules and without the need to present themselves at dawn. The disseminated images seek to generate alarm and do not reflect the current context. We ask local media to act with responsibility and verify the information before publishing it,” says the statement officially released officially.
From the Ministry they also stressed that the governor Osvaldo Jaldo It has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening public care, and that advances in health matters have been recognized even by national organizations.
“Thanks to an orderly, modern and permanent improvement system, access to health in Tucumán has democratized and decentralized, with clear channels, respectful care and priority by the most vulnerable sectors,” concluded Dr. Loto.
The Ministry of Public Health thus reaffirms its vocation of service, betting on transparent, close and accessible public health for all tucumanos.
