(ABC 6 News) — Mayo Clinic is asking Dr. Michael Joyner to pay $250,000 after he filed a lawsuit against the hospital in 2023.
Dr. Joyner sued Mayo back in November 2023, claiming the institution retaliated against him for comments made in several interviews, as well as whistleblowing.

Mayo won the lawsuit back in February with a jury ruling that they did not breach their anti-retaliation policy against Dr. Joyner.

According to court documents, Mayo now wants Dr. Joyner to pay a grand total of $256,564.26 in costs for expert fees, deposition fees, and trial transcript fees.
Dr. Joyner has filed an objection to this request.
