Route Change for Boucles de la Mayenne 2025 Final Stage

Organizers have slightly altered the route for the final stage of the Boucles de la Mayenne 2025 due to safety concerns regarding the newly renovated place du 11-Novembre in Laval.

Cyclists in the Mayenne loops will arrive in Laval this Sunday. The peloton was originally scheduled to pass through the brand new place du 11-Novembre before entering the final circuit. However, organizers have decided to modify the route slightly for safety reasons.

The change affects the third and final stage between Javron-les-Chapelles and Laval. The primary concern is the paving in front of the Hôtel de ville.According to organizers, the surface could become slippery in wet conditions, posing a risk to the cyclists. “C’est le dallage posé juste devant l’Hôtel de ville qui pose question,” they stated.

Rather of following the cours de la résistance, circumventing the place du 11-novembre via the rue de Verdun, and crossing the Mayenne via the pont Aristide-Briand, the cyclists will now pass the square de Boston. They will than cross the pont de l’Europe, turn right, and proceed along the quai Béatrix de Gâvre. The entry to the final circuit will be just after the intersection with the rue de la paix. This adjustment does not change the total distance of the stage, which remains at 163.4 kilometers.

Despite the route modification, aerial footage captured by France Télévisions cameras is still expected to highlight the newly renovated place du 11-Novembre.
