Weekend forecasts, air quality and road disruptions: everything you need to know in the Marne, near Reims, Châlons-en-Champagne and Épernay, to organize stress-free walks and relaxation.

Temperatures, air quality

According to Météo France:
Here is the trend for the weekend from Friday February 27 to Sunday March 1 in the Marne where the mildness resists, but the instability gradually returns as March approaches.

• Friday February 27
Still very mild weather. The morning starts sunny then the sky becomes cloudier during the day, with alternating clearings and cloudy periods. Temperatures remain high for the season, around 16-18°C in the afternoon, with weak to moderate southerly wind.

• Saturday February 28
The mildness continues but the atmosphere becomes more unstable. The sky becomes more cloudy and light rain or drizzle becomes possible. The maximums drop slightly, around 12°C, a sign of a change in air mass.

• Sunday March 1st
Weather still quite mild but more variable. The sky remains cloudy with some possible clearings and a risk of scattered showers. Temperatures are around 13°C during the day, still above normal for early March.

According to Atmo Grand Est:
Recent regional bulletins for the Marne currently indicate an “average” air quality index dominated in the Grand Est, with sufficient wind to disperse pollutants well.
In this type of weather configuration at the end of February (fairly mobile air, no major episodes of intense cold and lasting fog), we can reasonably expect:
• Overall fair to average air quality over the entire weekend.
• Little risk of a significant pollution episode, especially if the wind remains present as in recent days in the region.
