Three Arrested in Connection with Syria’s Tadamon Massacre
Recently released footage from Syria claims to show Monzer al-Jazairi, one of the suspects, with his hands bound and being led through the devastated streets of Tadamon, a suburb of Damascus. The area gained notoriety after nearly 300 people were killed in a documented massacre and the footage was later leaked to activists in Europe.
The Arrest and Statements
Following his arrest on Monday, Jazairi allegedly admitted that the death toll was significantly higher than initially reported. When questioned about the number of victims, he stated, “About 500 people,” raising the official count.

Additional Arrests
Two other suspects were also arrested and were seen sitting in the back of a pickup truck guarded by masked individuals. They were identified as Somer Mohammed al-Mahmoud and Imad Mohammed al-Mahmoud. It is unclear what roles these individuals played in the events at Tadamon, as their names have not emerged in previous investigations.
