Malarguea town of Mendozais shocked by the death of a 60-year-old woman who fell from her bicycle when a dog suddenly crossed her path on the street.
It all happened on Thursday around 17:35on the corner of The Choiqueros and Martín Zapata, in the Gustavo Bastías neighborhood.
The witnesses reported that Silvia Diaz Paez She was traveling alone on a blue bicycle and was traveling from the south to the north of the city through Los Choiqueros. Suddenly, a medium-sized black dog appeared from west to east and crossed the road.

She tried to maneuver to avoid him, but lost control of the bicycle and fell on the asphalt, the newspaper reported. Malargüe daily. The blow was so strong that he was unconscious.

Several people who saw the accident tried to help her and called 911. A few minutes later, an ambulance from the Coordinated Emergency Service (SEC) arrived. The health personnel performed maneuvers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
However, despite their efforts, doctors confirmed that the woman died from a cardiorespiratory arrest.

Police personnel and the Malargüe prosecutor on duty worked at the scene. The case was classified as a “culpable homicide investigation.” Now, authorities are seeking to determine if the woman was attacked by the dog or if the animal only caused the fall.
