The traffic is fluid, it rolls on the right track between 110 and 130 km/h in a slight climb, up to Ceignes (Ain).
While no car precedes it, suddenly, “the car brakes very violently, without discontinuous, without jerks and without any reason,” explains the driver still very marked by the event. “Without motor noise or alarm indicator, the car stops almost in the middle of the highway.”
