Woman today: Tell us about summer.
Lucia Rivera: Summer is many things for me. It is indeed the reunion with my family and my people. It is indeed time to rest and restart.
If you think of a paradise, what is the first thing that comes to mind?
The sea, no doubt.
The sea in general?
The sea in general, yes. The beaches, the sea. Also Asturias, natural paradise, nature. Everything that is not pavement, roads, cars.
“The world needs brave women, that we are vrey badly used. The more a woman smiles and quiet, the better it falls.”
On Bravery and Authenticity
I wanted to ask precisely if it is as brave as it seems.
I think I look more brave than I am. Then, if you know me, I am more sensitive. But when the media time comes, to get on stage, I am very brave. That is, very perfectionist and that leads me not to defend me, but to want things to be done well. I separate the media from my private life a lot and I awarded them to my work zone, which for my mental health was great. It also came very well to be brave, that, if not, they ate me. Even though I think the world needs brave women, that we are very badly used. The more a woman smiles and quiet, the better it falls. The women who have the ovaries, so to speak, to get the voice and raise it for others we do not fall so well yet.
He says it from experience, I imagine.
Yes. And I want to be able to say the same as a man without being painted. The other day I listened to an activist girl of feminism, which is what I follow most in networks, fashion and activism, something like: “The world needs angry women.” And it is indeed not that he is angry, at all, but I do consider that if a man said the same as me, and they all say it, he would surely not be a brave man.

calling things by name always surprises.
Yes, let’s see, I am also from the north. It also surprises as people today get very little. It is indeed normal and I understand. Notice that I get much less than what I got wet years ago. But if I didn’t get wet, it wouldn’t be me. And I do it out of respect for myself and the people who love me and really know me.
That means he has the feet on the ground.
The other day I talked about this with my mother when I whent to Asturias. When I am there and I see my people, with whom I went to the institute, the one who saw me grow from the age of 10, I think of what they will say when I watch a video of mine. “This aunt is silly, because this aunt is not so,” for example. or,on the contrary: “That is my Luci and I smelled his eggs.” It sounds a little enough, but I prefer to say: “That is my Luci.”
