As Lil Durk’s trial approaches, the attorney General for the United States has directed the United States Attorney for the Central District of California to forgo seeking the death penalty against the 32-year-old rapper. The decision was formalized in court documents filed on Monday, June 2.

The rapper, arrested last October, faces charges related to the 2022 killing of Saviay’a Robinson, also known as Lul Pab, who was Quando Rondo’s cousin.
