León Markets: What Not to Buy – Expired Goods & Alcohol

“Evidently the issue of the sale of alcohol, the issue of pyrotechnics, we have also come across expired products, our regulations prohibit these types of products (…) For example, ham that already comes from a store and is being sold in flea markets, sweets that have expired for a long time; “They want to sell them in flea markets,” he explained.

In accordance with the regulations of the Directorate of Commerce, Consumption and Supply, Anaya González reported that in addition to expired productsnor can it be sold in plazas and flea markets, the drugs.

“It is common to find drugs, from syrups to pills, which we try to avoid, because firstly it is not the right place and secondly the products are expired,” he indicated.

This practice of selling pharmaceutical productss, whether in optimal conditions, close to expiration or already expired, have been found by the management in flea markets in the city of León.
