Camille Gravouil, nutritionist at the head of the Nutrition 17 association based in Châtelaillon-Plage, and Céline Gautrot, general manager of the McDonald’s in Rochefort, Marennes and Dolus-d’Oléron, are involved in this extreme challenge, organized by Défid’Elles, which will bring together 40 pairs, mainly female, from January 17 to 19, 2026. An extraordinary raid which requires intense physical preparation. “Since October-November, we have been doing muscle strengthening every day, and running three times a week,” explains Camille. “We have a great coach, Muriel Picamoles,” explains Céline. She knows how to motivate us and prepare us optimally.”

Sporting and human challenge

As Camille Gravouil points out, “this raid is a real experience of surpassing oneself and helping others, in extreme conditions”. “It’s really a sporting and human challenge,” confirms Céline Gautrot.

All the more human as each participant will invest in fighting Charcot’s disease. Each pair opened a prize pool (1) and all funds raised will be donated in full to ARSLA, the Association for Research on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

A fight in which Céline Gautrot has already been engaged for several years through partnerships set up between her restaurants and the Bougez contre la ALS association. Just like Camille Gravouil who, since 2020, has supported organizations fighting Charcot’s disease via her association Nutrition 17. It is therefore quite natural that the two athletes came together for this new challenge around a common cause.
