The Nissan X-Trail car accident on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road, Lampung revealed drug trafficking. Hundreds of thousands of ecstasy pills were found scattered in bags thrown away by the courier after the accident.

The courier carrying the drugs ran away after the accident that happened to him at Km 136 of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road, Lampung, on Thursday, 20 November 2025. However, three days later, to be precise, Sunday, 23 November 2025, the courier was arrested.

As is known, the accident went viral on social media. The car with the license plate number D-1160-UN looks disfigured as a result of the accident.

Meanwhile, the bags containing ecstasy were seized by officers. The bags were secured from the ravine of the toll road median.

Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police, Kombes Yuni Iswandari, confirmed the incident. He said the exact number of ecstasy pills found was still being calculated.




“It’s true, this morning there was an accident on the Bakter toll road section at Km 136 B, where the car owner fled and was found to be suspected ecstasy pills. Until now it is still being counted. As an estimate, there were tens of thousands found in 34 packages,” he explained, as reported by detikSumbagselFriday (21/11).

1. Courier Arrested After Fleeing After Accident

Bareskrim Polri immediately went to investigate the discovery of hundreds of thousands of ecstasy pills on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road Km 136B, Lampung. Currently, the drug courier who fled after the accident has been arrested by Bareskrim.

“It’s true, we have arrested the suspect and are currently still under further investigation,” said the Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Monday (24/11).

The suspect named Muhammad Raffi (42) was arrested on Jalan Raya Sangereng, Ranca Buaya, Jambe District, Tangerang Regency, on Sunday (23/11).

The suspect was arrested by a joint team from Sub-Directorate IV of the Directorate of Narcotics Crime, Bareskrim Polri, led by Head of Sub-Directorate IV, Kombes Handik Zusen and the NIC Task Force under the leadership of Kombes Zulkarnain Harahap and Kombes Awaludin Amin.

2. Micro Sleep Natural Accident Courier

The car with registration number D-1160-UN had an accident in the early hours of Thursday, November 20 2025. The suspect who was driving the car is thought to have experienced micro sleep and had a single accident.

On Wednesday (19/11) evening at around 22.00 WIB, the suspect Raffi left for Bakauheni Harbor via the Kayu Agung toll gate. At around 01.30 WIB, Thursday (20/11), the Nissan X-Trail driven by Raffi ran out of petrol.

“Then the suspect contacted the toll road call center for assistance in refilling fuel. After completing the fuel filling, officer Muhammad Raffi continued his journey to Jakarta,” he said.

As dawn approached, the suspect Raffi started to feel sleepy, but he continued his journey. “Until entering KM 136, the suspect Muhammad Raffi experienced micro sleep and the accident occurred,” he said.

3. The Ecstasy courier was crushed by a car

The accident occurred at dawn on Thursday (20/11). The suspect fled the scene after having an accident and his car was totaled.

“In a cramped condition, the suspect, Muhammad Raffi, at that time tried to get out of the vehicle via the top of his vehicle,” said Eko.


4. Bag containing Ecstasy thrown away

After realizing he was in an accident, suspect Muhammad Raffi tried to get out of the vehicle. Panicking, the suspect then took out 5 bags containing the methamphetamine and threw them into a ravine.

“Due to his panic and fear, after getting out of the vehicle, Muhammad Raffi tried to take out 5 bags containing ecstasy and threw the 5 bags into a ravine next to the toll road,” he said.

After throwing away the bag containing the ecstasy, the suspect Raffi tried to escape by climbing down the cliff and then continuing on foot through the bushes to the nearest village. Until then he arrived at Sugih Besar Hamlet and left the village and looked for a way.

“From there, the suspect Muhammad Raffi boarded a public transportation to be taken to the highway. At 09.00 WIB, Raffi boarded a bus bound for Kalideres Terminal. Arriving at Kalideres Terminal at 13.00 WIB, Muhammad Raffi went straight to the apartment to rest,” he explained.

5. The suspect had gone for treatment

Until then, on Saturday (22/11), the suspect returned to his home in the Rawa Burung area, Tangerang and met his wife. Raffi was accompanied by his wife and children to Pandeglang to undergo traditional treatment.

“After treatment, because it was late at night, Muhammad Raffi and his family stayed overnight at a nearby mosque,” he said.

On the other hand, the police who were pursuing him managed to arrest him on Sunday (23/11) at 07.00 WIB.

“When the joint team carried out the investigation, the suspect tried to escape, so the police officers took firm and measured action,” he concluded.

6. Ecstasy IDR 207 billion confiscated by Bareskrim

Bareskrim Polri arrested Muhammad Raffi (42), a drug courier who ran away after an accident on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road, Lampung. Hundreds of thousands of ecstasy pills worth hundreds of billions of rupiah were confiscated by the police.

“The evidence that was secured was 207,529 ecstasy pills, which if converted into rupiah was worth IDR 207,529,000,000 (Two hundred seven billion five hundred twenty nine million),” said Brigadier General Eko.

7. Car carrying Ecstasy is wrecked

Muhammad Raffi (42), a courier carrying tens of thousands of ecstasy pills, survived an accident on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road, Lampung. Raffi managed to escape after being trapped in a wrecked car before finally being caught by police in the Tangerang Regency area.

Judging from the photos obtained by m, the Nissan X-Trail car driven by the suspect appeared to be wrecked after an accident. The car was so badly damaged that it was out of shape.

The wheels of the X-Trail car appeared to be broken. Meanwhile, the vehicle body looks completely destroyed. The car windows appeared to be broken.
